Mahanagar Gas Limited – Urivi Vikram Charitable Trust SakshamProject (MGL – UVCT Saksham Project)

ANUGRAH took on an important role in the MGL – UVCT Saksham Project by being the

counselling arm for the initiative. The counselling services began in the year 2018 in the

month of January. Under the first leg of this project, thirty municipal schools, aided and

semi aided schools were included and the aim being to reach 900 school children.

This mentoring initiative was of utmost importance to the MGL – UVCT Saksham Project

as most of the children came from challenging situations and a deprived socio

– economic background. ANUGRAH took this challenge and sent their mentors to meet

with these students and guide them through their obstacles like academic troubles,

family disputes, strained relationship within family members, feeling rejected, peer

pressure, bullying, substance addiction, mobile and TV addiction, losing the will to

dream, being surrounded by fear.

Our mentors successfully were able to provide guidance and mentor over 1000 students in the first phase of MGL – UVCT Saksham Project. Many students received timely intervention which changed the trajectory of their life towards well-being and purpose.

“Anugrah’s role in the Saksham projects was key to the project’s success. Their

commitment and sincerity to the task assigned were of high standard. They strictly

followed the MOU and project plan. We know there were some irritants in some schools but they overcame with patience. Anugrah team has maintained all records properly and provided timely reports for the submission to MGL. Full team used to be available for all review meetings within UVCT and with MGL.
